February Classes and Torch Time

Michelle Pearson is teaching Introduction to Glass Beadmaking classes February 25 and March 11.  The class is 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and includes two hours of follow up torch time, to be scheduled at time of class.  You'll learn about glass properties, basic safety and how to make a round, balanced bead with good puckers.  We'll use black and white for the practice beads and learn basic decoration techniques like applying dots, lines, frit & twisties  for unique bead designs.  Beads will be annealed overnight in the kiln and you'll be able to pick them up the next day.  Not all your first time beads will survive, but you'll likely go home with 6 - 8 beads you'll be proud of and some really fun new skills!  $190 includes glass and use of studio equipment.
